Why do girls go to tanning studios all year just to look alittle brown? they don't like being their own color?

I mean, i am not one of girls who tan every time my skin is normal. But some girls really over do it..they look yellow. I just want to know WHY they do this?

The best answer that I can give you is that a little color on the face allows a girl not to wear as much make up. Also, a tan makes you look 10 lbs thinner, and shows off muscle definition more. the long term side effects are worse than any benefit that thye might recieve. The best bet for those girls is to find a really good self tanner (sally hansen spray on legs) and use that
Reply:Apparently being yellow is better then white. Personally, I have a farmer's tan - only my knees and the bottom half of my arms are tan, because I play soccer a lot. It's kind of creepy.

Reply:Sometimes having a tan helps to cover blemishes, bumps, strech marks and so on. I know what you are talking about some of them look like leather. I had rather be pale than worry with skin cancer.

Reply:If you are white you want to be brown or black or yellow and if you are brown you want to be black or white or yellow and if you are black you want to be brown or white or yellow. I still can't say why some girls want to be orange!
Reply:because i go to work in the dark and when i get home and take care of everthing, i don't see the sun much. thats why i do it,i go maybe 1 a week for 20 minutes.....20 minutes i get to my self that i am taking care of me....
