I recently got my ears pierced, so I cannot take my silver earrings out for a few more weeks. Even, then I will have to wear earrings at all times for a year so the holes won't seal up. Is it okay for me to lay out in the sun to tan with my earrings in? Do they get really hot and hurt the skin in that area? What about earrings that aren't made of metal?

Reply:They wouldn't heat up so much as to cause discomfort. They might get warm but you're not going to be able to notice at all, it'd be just like wearing a bangle or something into the sun lol. If the ear rings do get so hot it hurts, it means you need to get the hell out of the sun because your skin should start blistering, burning and peeling straight away lol.
