I'm really light skinned, and i dont tan even in the summer. If i go to a tanning salon, will it work?
get a spray on tan and wear plenty of sunblock. your skin is prone to damage, so don't think twice about going to one of those tanning salons. unless skin cancer or looking like an old leather bag sounds appealing in 10 years?

Reply:No, probably not. If you don't tan normally in the sun it won't work in a tanning salon either. Most likely you'll burn. Why risk skin cancer, it's really not worth it! Theres some great fake tanning products around these days- go for them x

i used to work with a woman whose mother and father were both dark(er) skinned ; she and she COULD NOT tan. she tried everything including tanning lotions. they didn't even work.

Reply:I am very fair-skinned also and I just burn in the tanning salon. I think it is something that you will need to slowly build up over time, meanwhile risking your health. I would suggest a good spray tan or investigate sunless tanning lotions, which have improved over the years. Just follow the directions very carefully!

Reply:No, if you don't tan in the sun, you won't tan in a tanning bed. And your chances for cancer increase greatly.

Reply:No you probably won't on your first time. I have the same problem. All my life I've been VERY pale and if I'm even in the sun for more then 15 minutes, I burn to a crisp. So. I tried the bed, And I burned in the tanning bed, I was in for 8 minutes and I'd burned as if I was out side for 30. And I didn't tan. But I think that maybe if you keep going it will work. Just remember to turn.... I didn't turn and.... hahahaha .... I had red lines up and down my ****.

Beds are dangerous. I wouldn't recommend it. I don't go anymore.
Reply:Yes you can get tan I have very fair skin and I just used lotion with Bonzer in it and now im a bit tan it takes time though.... but dont get the ones with the tingle sensation they burn like heck on fair skin..
Reply:i also am very light skinned, and when u go in the tanning beds dont go for more then 6 mins your first 3 visits, cause u will burn. The best thing I found to work and is healthy for you is the spray tan. Good luck
Reply:No. you'll turn red like a tomato. you'll also damage you skin and when your older, your skin will be rinkled, youll have those ugly spots, and honstly, be happy with what you have, it won't kill you to be light skinned. for goodness sakes people would kill for lighter skin!
Reply:just use a sunless self tanner.. gel.. lotion.. or arisol can.. there are alot out there find the ones with streek free and one that dosent give you the Orange look.. you will get a perfect tan for half the price of a tanning salon.. and half the burn of it too..lol.. have fun.. Good luck!!
Reply:i used to run a tanning salonand so i can say that you don't have to worry about skin cancer in the tanning beds. the bulbs used in tanning beds emmit only UV-A and UV-B light. it's UV-C that you have to worry about causing cancer.





but as far as not tanning in natural sun light, you probably won't tan in a bed either. but some people who have the problem of burning very easily may be able to slowly increase the time they are in the tanning bed (starting at no longer than 2 min for the first week or two), but it's best to talk to the tanning salon, must states require anyone who works at a salon to take a course and test.
Reply:If you can pull of the light skin, then more power to you. I personally like light skinned gals. Not albino light though.
Reply:Well...it will work depending on how your skin reacts. But just to tell you, the tanning bed is know for causing skin cancer. You probraly already knew that though. I always tan while im at a pool or on the beach. I think laying down to tan is boring, so I play games while getting a bronzed tan! So much better i think!
