Should i go to the tanning saloon?

K so me and a friend were thinking of goin to get a nice tan for school and stuff (pic= myspace.com/missjennings) but idk about the whole thing... should i or should i stay white...lol

Why pay for a tan when there is a natural sun right outside. You can get a tan for free Just go in your backyard or to the park with a beach towel and a nice cold lemonade and lay there and tan to your hearts desire. I fail to see the point in a tanning bed unless your a vampire.

Reply:You can get a spray on tan from a lot of tanning salons that are not bad for you--I don't think that the occasional tan will hurt you though--I say go for it

Reply:Porcelain skin is so much better than fake tanned skin. Anyone can tan, not everyone has pretty pale skin.





If your skin is naturally tanned or dark, then that is what will look best on you. If you are naturally fair, that is your best look.

If you want to go then go! If you're scared of skin cancers then go to a spray tanning salon. I do that and it's GREAT!

Reply:Stay white or spray-on - tanning salons can still cause skin cancer plus, they cause even faster aging of the skin than the sun.....
Reply:go outside and spend time in the sun.. use a spray on tan, but don't go to the salon.. it's really bad for you. plus, to actually get a tan, you would have to go about 3-4 times.

Reply:Watch "Final Destination 3" and I'm sure your pasty **** will never get into a tanning bed again, assuming you've ever been taning. Besides, it's bad for your skin. For probably the same price, you can do one of those "tanning mist" deals, where they use special self tanners and "mist" it onto your body. The professional junk will not look "orange" and it is soooooooo much better for you, with the added bonus that you'll never get burned like you can in a tanning bed, and the super bonus that some freak thing could kill ya like in the movie......watch the movie, it is so good. Gross, but cool.
Reply:When I was growing one of my best friends was nut for getting tan. When she was 21 she took a job in another city. I didn't see her again for another 10 years and she turned into this old lady. Yuck!

Reply:Be what you are. If everyone was tan and blonde no one would be unique! With the right hair color and make up choices I think a light complexion is beautiful. Tanning does cause premature ageing and well unless youre older already..Youll come to find that light and Young is much better than tanned and old looking. HOWEVER...I am a fan of "everything in moderation" and "if you look good you feel good" So, go if you want, just dont over do it! It seems as though people who only fake bake too much look so well ...fake! Regaurdless of what they think it looks like. So go tanning, just dont leave your self perspective and good judgement under those lights to fry! Have fun!
Reply:If you like the increased risk of skin cancer, and leathery skin, then by all means go cook your flesh. Personally, I think the health hazards are not worth it.
Reply:I choose not to tan in tanning beds or the sun, I own a store that has two tanning beds that people come in and use too. I don't care what people think of my very pale skin. I'm 36 years old, but people always think I'm so much younger. If you stay away from tanning you will thank yourself when you start to get older, believe me. If you want a little color there are plenty of self tanners to choose from.
