I just need an even complexion and clearer skin, not a dark tan. I've got a light-medium skin tone.
When should I start tanning for my wedding?
Start about a month before. This way even with the beds you can gradually tan instead of burning badly then tanning. Depending on how easily u burn do 3-5 mins at first. (I burn very easily and can handle 5 i just started going). Even if you do do the spray on tan you want to do it long enough in advance so if you react or if it turns out badly you have time to take care of it before your wedding.
Good luck!
Reply:i did a spray tan once... bad news. it just rubbed off on my towel whenever i showered. i didn't care for it. Report It
Reply:I would get a spray tan 1-4 days before the wedding.
Reply:You didn't mention when your wedding is but my best guess would be to clear up your skin and give your self a little glow would be to go 3 to 4 sessions and try one of the tanning lotions they really do work. Don't go more then twice a week. I would start going a month before the big day. Good luck and congrats!
Reply:I'd start a few weeks out. It's better to go for shorter periods of time over a few weeks that way your tan looks more natural. Tanning is REALLY not good for your skin though. If you can afford it, the healthier way is to go to a nice day spa and have them put on the spray tanner - they do the exfoliation too which is so important. But you'll spend about $50 or so I think. Remember - no tan lines!!! And be sure to spread the word to your bridesmaids. Nothing says REDNECK wedding like a wedding party w/ a bunch of tan lines. ha ha!
Reply:I would say if you want a tan b4 your wedding I would try 1-4 days with a spray on tan or 3-4 sessions with a tan from the tanning salon!
CONGRAULATIONS!
I am engaged too!
Reply:if you want a natural tan then go ahead and start tanning now, when your happy with your results stop tanning, i mean stay in the sun but not long enough to tan, or if you want a spray on just go b4 your wedding day , god luck with your wedding
Reply:Don't give yourself skin cancer...
Don't age your skin prematurely....you will need major damage control when you are older, so just say no to tanning
Reply:Get a professional facial at least a month before your wedding and get another one just before.
Don't tan yourself. You'll be old looking before you know it. If you really want the genuine thing, then a tanning booth will give you the most even and low level tan. Don't overdo it.
Be careful of self tanners. You don't want to look unnatural.
Reply:Just don't. Now that you are getting married, you have to stop doing things that put your future health at risk; skin cancer isn't pretty.
Just use a bronzer.
Reply:I am getting married at the end of June (3 times per week) and I started Tanning at the begining of April. Once I got the desired complextion I talked to the person at the tanning salon and told them that I was exactly where I wanted to be...At that point she told me that all I needed to do at that point was to go once a week for up keep...things are working out great.
Reply:Tanning does not clear up your skin--it does exactly the opposite. It makes your skin more dry and prone to break outs. If you really want a tan look, get a spray or airbrush tan. Those are always cancer-free!
