I'm gonna tan for the first time for prom.
What can I expect for my first time tanning in a tanning bed?
Go every other day for two weeks before prom, or else you may end up looking like a lobster when the big night comes! Make sure you talk to whoever is running the tanning salon. Explain to them that you've never been tanning. They're usually pretty good about starting you off in cooler beds for shorter periods of time and working you up.
Don't forget to use lotion!

Reply:the time its ok for you to spend in there depends on your skintype but taking into consideration that its your first time- you shouldnt stay in there too long and that means that not much will happen. you might have a bit of a darker glow the next day, but your skin wont tan much. i suggest you go three times in the week before the prom, and not on the day itself, if you want to accentuate your bronze skin apply some Nivea Reflections bodylotion, get that gown on and youll look like a star**
