Well i noticed that alot of days this week the UV index will be "3 Moderate" with sunny skies but the temp will be in the 40s...i remember being able to tan during the fall in a uv index of 3 moderate but it was warmer back then, does the temp matter? and im not worried about getting cold, im just trying to tan my face an arms..
How much does temperature matter when it comes to tanning??
nah, temp doesnt really matter as long as the sun is strong where you are.
for example, i live in florida[the good ole sunshine state lol] and i can go out and tan any day of the week, even when its like 60-70 degrees b/c the sun is just stronger here.
and a word of caution- even if it seems like youre not tanning at all, like youre not getting warm, feeling sweaty,it does NOT mean its not working. i went to the beach last feb. and layed out for 5 hours w/ no sunblock and thought i got absolutely nothing. Yeeeeah right. i was burned to a crisp! and not just a surface sunburn, it was deep! and i *still* can see the lines where i got burned on my arms almost a year later. so be careful
