You shouldn't shower for at least 2 hours after tanning. Ask the person at the tanning salon, they will confirm this answer.
Reply:It's ok to wash it off,but put some body lotion on afterwards so you don't get dry skin.
Reply:You can wash it off if it does not have a bronzer in it. If it has a bronzer you need to keep it on until your body has cooled off completely.
Reply:have your skin moisturized as the water in your epithelium is heated up (thus burning your skin to that sought for bronze color) is most beneficial. So if you wash off your tanning lotion, make sure you replenish your skin w/ another type of skin lotion. So you should wash off the tanning lotion so you don't clog pores w/ the sweat and oils of the bed, but definately put more lotion on afterwards.
Reply:what I've found is that it depends on the type of lotion and you skin type. If using a lotion with added bronzer or heat, for better results you might want to leave it on for a while. However, using a lotion with a lot of heat, I've actually burned after tanning from the sun, not the bed, for leaving it on too long. try it a couple of different ways.
