Why do these 12 year olds go tanning?

im in 7th grade and so many gurls fake tan. why? it looks stupid and orange, and plus u get early wrinkles and possible skin cancer.

Why do these 12 year olds go tanning?
I ask myself this question everyday. What ever happend to regular sun bathing!!??!!??

they need some after school activities like sports.
Reply:They get fake tans because they are self-conscious or they want attention. They can also do it because they dont want to go on trips or simply can afford it. Wrinkles are a risk they have to be willing to take.
Reply:because they are trying to impress people by acting older than they are. your soooo right. dont ever do it, its so bad for you and nothing good comes from it, 7th grade guys dont even care about tans anyway, so i dont know who they're trying to impress
Reply:because they are not happy with themselves. they think that having "darker", but in this case orange skin is beautiful.beautiful is embracing whatever you are, even if you are freakishly pale. it honestly makes my sick. if they are so eager to tan, then they could just use bronzer or something. they have no lives. It is not good for them, and they will pay laterr in life.

Reply:they shouldn't... some places are starting to ban tanning under age 16 and even 18. parents shouldn't fry their kids
