Tanning salons dangerous?

Especially for me as I have white skin (red hair). But I do want to get a little red in and white out.

Tanning salons dangerous?
Get some of that body spray and forget the tanning salon. Excessive exposure can cause your skin to become leathery and have premature aging. Ultra-violet also produces greater risk of skin cancer.
Reply:yes. it like sitting out in the sun
Reply:Of course they are dangerous. What's more they wrinkle your skin prematurely and make you (eventually) look ten years or more older than you are. This is permanent damage that can't be corrected, no matter how much oil of olay you use. Just be natural, it's more attractive.
Reply:There‘s an opinion that sunbeds are safer than sun tanning, but it‘s certainly not true. Sunbeds use concentrated doses of ultraviolet radiation. It's the same type of radiation that is produced by sun and is the main cause of skin cancer. It also causes skin to age prematurely. The difference is that the ultraviolet radiation produced by sun is not as concentrated as produced by sunbeds. The more exposure to ultraviolet radiation, the greater the chance of developing skin cancer.

here you may find some more information on sunbeds: http://www.jurgita.com/articles-id2269.h...

yet, I think if you'll visit just a few times nothing bad will happen
Reply:yes.
Reply:defietly do not use sunbeds. in good tanning shops they have a skin guide and very fair skinned people with red hair arnt recommended to use sunbeds. u will just burn and not tan. if u want a tan use fake bake its great!
Reply:I know someone who died at the age of 34. She was the young mother of three. During her last pregnancy, she needed to have an emergency c-section because her skin cancer was out of control. They tried to save her life, but six weeks later she died. She was a beautiful woman who just wanted a little color.... Try and use a self-tanner. At least you won't lose your life.
