i have to wait another week until i can take a pregnancy test.
If im tanning right now and i may have just gotten pregnant will the tanning hurt my fetus?
Oh my gosh, how stupid are you?
Tanning hurts YOU. Tanning gives YOU wrinkles, spots and skin cancer. So why not take care of yourself before you worry about something that may not exist?
Reply:no but if you are pregnant you should not tan any more while you are pregnant
Reply:People tan and lay out in the sun and drink all the time before they find out they are preg. I think the Key is to stop doing all that as soon as you get a positive result.
Reply:as early on as you may be I highly doubt it. But I would strongly suggest once you have a confirmed positive to switch to spray on tan.
Reply:I would stop tanning until you know for sure if you are or not. It can hurt the baby, just like a hot tub. Just to be safe I would wait until you know.
Reply:As long as the baby is in the inside and not on the outside, it won't hurt it!
Reply:No, the tanning likely won't hurt your fetus, but it will hurt you. Tanning/sunbathing is outdated and unsafe. Why would you subject yourself to the possibility of skin cancer? Wierd.
If you're dying to darken your skin, why don't you at least use the spray on tanning services or lotions from the drugstore?
Reply:NO, but you should stop now. If you are pregnant, you should not tan.
Reply:I stopped tanning as soon as I found out I was pregnant. Just to be safe. I don't know if there is any harm, you could always call and talk to a nurse at the doc's office.
Reply:It probably has not done any damage to the baby at this point but I would definitely stop now. Also you really shouldn't tan while ttc because skin issues can pop up at any point and it could be dangerous if you have to have a procedure done while pregnant to remove a suspicious area. My doctor did a full physical when I went in for my pre-conception visit. She checked all moles and everything. I asked her why and she said if one was to turn suspicious it is better to remove it now then when pregnant. She also said she advises all women who want to start to ttc to go to the dentist as well and get any dental procedures done that could cause problems while pregnant. Good luck ttc
Reply:YES!! Im sure you can wait a week to tan. take the test if its negative do whatever you want with your body.
